How Ergotherapy Began: A Vision Rooted in Care and Precision
It’s with this philosophy that our company came into being in 2001. Our founder, Gary Arenson, was working as a clinical physiotherapist at the time, and saw firsthand the toll that poor workspaces took on people's bodies – and their minds. The discomfort, the distractions, the constant strain. “When I started practising as a physio, I thought I would be seeing people with sports injuries. What actually happened was I was seeing people with aches and pains from their work environment.” He knew there had to be a better way.
But this journey wasn't about quick fixes. It was about building a solution from the ground up – creating products carefully engineered to do more than just relieve pain. Gary's goal was to transform the way people feel at work so that they could enjoy more of life outside of it. So, he set out to design ergonomic solutions that elevate your workday to bring ease and energy to everything you do at the office and beyond.
